Looking for Corrections stuff on the WWW?
I've started a new section just for Prisons and Corrections personnel.
Click on the symbol to get to the page for YOUR specific interest,
or use the index at the bottom of each page to go to any other section within this site.

Click on the cops logo to listen, live 24 hours a day to the Dallas Police Department dispatchers and officers.
Or, you can try
NYPD radio traffic
or maybe
Plano Police Department, Texas radio traffic
or even
Los Angeles Police Department radio traffic.
and for the Fire Services:
DallasFire Department radio traffic.
You'll need a RealAudio player to do this; get one here if you don't have one.
Looking for resource materials, such as training aids, manuals, uniforms, equipment?
Check out the links to Public Safety Vendors.
If you're a commercial vendor for something you think Public Safety responders would be
interested in discovering, drop me a line and I'll consider adding you to that resource list!
I'm been working on a project, which I'm hoping will generate a chuckle or two.
There's a Bulletin Board in every Communications Center; sometimes these are
reserved for official memoranda and sometimes there's one just for dispatchers to
share information with each other. The Break Room has installed a
Bulletin Board to share stuff I think is amusing, amazing, or
otherwise entertaining.
...and another project is in the works....
The Break Room has entered the Newsletter arena --
I don't know how often I'll get an issue out,
But if there are enough Communications personnel interested in a Break Room newsletter
(called "The Breaking News!"), it might be something I can expand, later on.
At this point, I'm planning to list additions and updates to the Break Room, little newsy blurbs
about the Brethren & Sistren of the Headset, amusing anecdotes encountered in the performance of
our duties, and other entertainment. This site is, after all, intended as a break from the routine of
handling everyone else's emergencies!

If you're at all interested in discovering just WHERE my dispatch center is located, click HERE to see some
maps that might help you come visit some time. (Now, in the interest of safety, for all the sick, twisted people who surf the Internet
along with us regular folks, OFFICERS WITH GUNS work there, too.) And, if you are so inclined, you can see pictures
of my Communications Center.
