APCO's 64th Annual Conference
Albuquerque, New Mexico

Various and Sundry Attendees - Page 3

Important People in the Public Safety Communications field If you are a subscriber to 9-1-1 Magazine or have considered taking a course from Public Safety Training Consultants or heard anything about the California OES Auxilary Communications Service, then you would be thrilled to meet these three people! From left to right: Randall Larson, Editor of 9-1-1 Magazine, Kevin Willett of PSTC, and Dave Larton, who's really interested in getting more pins for his APCO Conference badge. Oh, sorry; Dave has written for 9-1-1 Magazine, currently works for Gilroy Police & Fire, and is the webmaster of the ACS site previously mentioned. (He's also a contributor to the 9-1-1 Web Showcase Newsletter, as am I, and we met long before we attended this conference.)

Where's the beer? I introduced Bob to Dave and Randall (and Kevin, who just happened to wander away before this picture was taken). We all pointed out the best food booths with the shortest lines at the Tuesday night MANAPCO bash. (At every APCO Annual conference, there is a major, special evening event hosted by the vendors.... called MANAPCO for "Manufacturer's APCO Night.")

This was an outdoors plaza event, with live bands, lots of southwestern foods, and even some local Indian artisans with wares to sell. (I bought myself a lovely fetish necklace for a very reasonable price, similar to the one around Joanne's neck in this picture.) You stand in one line for drinks and we'll stand in another for dinner, okay?
