Tuesday morning was the official opening of the Exposition portion of the Conference; the vendor displays in the three halls were open from 10 o'clock in the morning until 5 p.m. at night. Although seminar sessions had begun at 0800 hours, the official opening of the vendor areas wasn't accomplished until the Conference Ribbon was cut. (You can see a larger view of the participants if you click this photo.)
Actually, before the President of APCO could cut the ribbon, there had to be a welcoming statement by the Mayor, the Sheriff, and an Indian Chief. This photo was taken during the Indian Prayer Blessing spoken in Navajo, but with an English interpretor. (Click the photo for a larger view.)
