Static Equipment Displays

Radio-controlled FD mascot Sparky roved the entrance to talk to kids Sparky wasn't that 'static' but he sure entertained everyone! The firefighter controlling his movement and providing his 'voice' did a good job involving as many passersby as possible. The nozzle on the little truck could also squirt water (and did!) at many an unsuspecting victim. It was 97 degrees, and actually a welcome diversion.

The firefighter was positioned out of sight but where he could see to control Sparky's direction of travel and head movements. Anybody who stopped to take a picture was greeted with a sudden turn of the dalmation's head and the question: "Is this my best side? or this one?"

Here's a variety of local Law Enforcement, Fire Services and EMS resources from Bernalillo County and the City of Albuquerque. I've been inside a lot of mobile Comm vans, so I didn't take any interior shots; sorry, folks.
